As part of ongoing water infrastructure upgrades in Terang, Kelly Civil Construction was engaged to undertake the specialist structural concrete works for a new in-situ culvert structure owned by Wannon Water. The project required the delivery of a durable reinforced concrete asset designed to provide long-term performance within the existing network.
Operating solely under a form-reinforce-pour (FRP) scope, Kelly Civil Construction was responsible for all formwork installation, reinforcement fixing, and concrete placement associated with the structure. The in-situ nature of the culvert required precise set-out and construction techniques to ensure the completed asset met the required dimensions, levels, and structural tolerances.
The project demanded close coordination with the wider construction team to ensure efficient sequencing of activities and seamless integration with surrounding infrastructure. Particular attention was given to concrete quality and reinforcement detailing to deliver a robust structure capable of withstanding the environmental and operational demands of water infrastructure.
Through careful planning and execution, the reinforced concrete works were delivered in accordance with Wannon Water’s specifications and quality requirements. The completed culvert upgrade now provides improved functionality and long-term resilience for the asset, further demonstrating Kelly Civil Construction’s expertise in delivering specialist concrete solutions for utility infrastructure projects across regional Victoria.
