Completed in early 2025, this project involved the construction of a reinforced concrete wash water tank for LC Water in Gellibrand, delivering critical infrastructure to support water management and treatment operations.
The structure comprised a rectangular reinforced concrete tank designed to provide long-term durability and watertight performance in a demanding operational environment. Kelly Civil Construction was awarded the form-reinforce-pour (FRP) package and was responsible for the delivery of all structural concrete works associated with the tank construction.
Works commenced with the construction of the reinforced concrete base slab, establishing the foundation for the tank structure and providing accurate set-out for the subsequent wall pours. Exposed starter bars were incorporated into the slab to facilitate the connection between the base and wall elements, ensuring structural continuity and long-term performance.
Following completion of the base slab, Kelly Civil Construction utilised PERI Domino formwork systems to construct the internal and external faces of the reinforced concrete walls. The use of modular formwork enabled efficient construction, precise alignment, and high-quality concrete finishes while maintaining dimensional accuracy throughout the project.
Our scope included all formwork, reinforcement fixing, and concrete placement required to deliver the completed structure. Careful planning and sequencing of pours ensured the tank met the required structural and performance standards for water-retaining infrastructure.
Completed in early 2025, the project further demonstrated Kelly Civil Construction’s capability in delivering specialist reinforced concrete structures and water infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and efficient project delivery.
